For Inquiry In Term 1.
For inquiry in term one our theme was Alive to Survivie me and my friend did it on Axolotls and at the beginning we had to come up with three questions for our subject.
1.What would happen if the axolotls had lived on land always?
2.Why do they have to be in water when they are babies?
3.Why do they have to be on land when they are adults?
and my answers for that is
1.
2.because when they are babies the breath through skin and they have to stay underwater.
3. when they are adults they start breathing through lungs like us humans
For Inquiry In Term 2.
For inquiry in term two we our class are doing arrive to strive and for the last couple of we have been learning about what we would do if we had no warmth shelter(fire/clothes/house.)We could only use the things they had on them.When the teacher said we go in partners and my friend came up with.Make a hut in some trees and make a fire but my question i asked my friend is what would we start the fire with. my friend said maybe glass by rubbing two stones together.then we got asked by our teacher what would you eat if you had no cooking utensil stove etc?we answer that we could cook bugs cook a pig that we had hunted that day we could make a net and catch fish and we could boil sea water or find a river but still boil it.Then my teacher asked who would be in charge? We came up with the smartest or the oldest but if the oldest is to much of a baby the middle aged one.If we were trapped on an island with no adults what would happen?There would be fights,gangs challenge each other,no values,no rules or law.Also we have been learning about L.O.F which means lord of flies which is about being lost on an island and having to find food warmth and make shelter and now we have made our own tribes within the class and we all have to think we are lost on an unknown island like in lord of flies. well my tribe is called the explosive peaces and in my tribe we have 6 people and in this tribe we have to make a kakahu and we have to make our own flag which represent us /our group.
now we have got our groups that we are going to be in and what part of the land we own and our whole class is now known as the sea tribe.
WEAKNESS: were that we couldn't be in different place at the same time because we owned 70% of the world.
That it's salt water not fresh water.Whales were are next problem because they were much bigger than us.That we didn't have very much shelter on the beach.
STRENGTHS: that we owned 70% of the world.That we had lots to eat from the sea.That we can trade thing for things that are useful for us.
THREATS:oil spoils by the B-P petrol station. Huge wave that can flood the place.Another there could be sharks that could eat us or attack us.
